IT BEGAN WITH BEING DISAPPOINTED
“What would you want to
sit and watch for hours?”
I had tried a café, characters, a shadow theatre. The animation felt awkward; each fix seemed to need another. I was disappointed, and bored. So I stopped asking the AI to improve my idea and asked it that question instead.
The answer gave us an unfamiliar kind of nature. We made it, watched it, criticised it, and kept changing it. Three more studies followed. Some versions were too mechanical. Some were simply dull. The work here came through that conversation.
A hypothetical question, followed by very real choices. Human direction and editing by Andreas Zalbo; developed with Codex, with Claude Code contributing to Elsewhere. Elsewhere’s generated sound textures were made with ElevenLabs. The other studies synthesize sound in the browser.
